What is your boxing nickname?
The Master of Disaster
What music are you going to play as you enter the ring?
No Easy Way Out - Rocky soundtrack
What inspired you to take part in this year's event?
To get out of my comfort zone and try something new. I have also attended the event the past two years and it is always a great night out.
What has been the toughest part of your training so far?
Getting punched in the face and parking in Cambridge
Who is your boxing inspiration or favorite boxer?
What has been the most enjoyable part of training so far?
Sparring! So far it has been one of the best experiences of my life. It is not easy to stand in a ring across from someone who wants to knock you out but each week I get more comfortable because of all the sparring we do. Also Bob and the guys do an amazing job of coaching us. They are so patient and understanding even when it takes me 100 attempts to figure combos, footwork etc.
Have any of your preconceptions about boxing have been changed since you started training?
Yes, that headgear offers very little protection.
What is your greatest sporting achievement to date?
Completing Ironman Lake Placid in 2103. It nearly killed me but I managed to cross the finish line in one piece.
