Reason for Participating

I don't have a personal story around childhood cancer, however, in my former career life I was teacher, so I have a soft spot for children and their well-being. Also, as an Eagle Scout I did a bunch of work with and for St. Jude's in Memphis, which was always a heart warming experience. Long winded way of saying I'm always willing to join the fight for the less fortunate, especially children.

TOUGHEST PART OF TRAINING
The mental discipline that it takes to do all of the training after long work days and all of the unavoidable life stuff.

MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF TRAINING
Between the 3 mile morning runs, sparring, and HIT training sessions, I'm in the best cardio condition of my life.

HAS YOUR VIEW OF BOXING CHANGED?
Every punch is about delivering maximum damage, was my initial misconception about heavyweight boxing. I've learned that 80% of punches are just used to setup other downstream attacks.

GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
Winning state title in Powerlifting (2013)
Earning a full scholarship to play D1 college football
