The Way, Woburn
Reason for Participating
I have attended the event the last two years to watch my friends compete. I like the idea of each year having someone step up and figured this year I had to. Once I met with the committee and Mrs. Dunleavy it drove home how great of a cause this is and how precious life can be. I am thankful for being able to compete and raise money that will help families.

tOUGHEST pART OF tRAINING
Toughest would be time management. I coach Crossfit in AM a few days a week, have my regular 9-5, more like 9-whenever, and travel quite a bit.
Second would be learning how to block (Still don't know), proper footwork, and conditioning. I have a strong respect for this sport and people who compete.
mOST eNJOYABLE pART OF tRAINING
The camaraderie you get after a good sparring session. Win or lose its about just having the guts to get in there and take some blows as well as give some to people you call your friends.
has your view of Boxing changed?
Yes. I understood boxing was physically and mentally taxing but I didn't realize how much strategy actually goes into it. It's human nature to move away when getting hit but I found out when you box you actually want to stay in the pocket, move closer and strategically respond with your own combinations.
Greatest Sporting Achievement to Date
Winning back to back state championships in high school for hockey.
