Reason for Participating
When I was in high school my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and thankfully she fought it and overcame it. When I was in college one of my best friends mom (who was a 2nd mom to me) was diagnosed with breast cancer and thankfully she also fought it and beat it. Remembering the strength and courage both of these women had when faced with this obstacle gave me the courage and strength I need in order to step into the ring and do my part in helping find a cure for all types of cancer.
TOUGHEST PART OF TRAINING
Controlling my eating habits. I love all kinds of foods but I knew that I had to eat right in order to perform to the best of my ability.
MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF TRAINING
Training alongside one of my friends who is also doing the benefit.
HAS YOUR VIEW OF BOXING CHANGED?
No perception has been changed but training has allowed me to further understand the mental part of boxing. You can do all the training you want but if you aren't mentally committed then it will not work.
GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE
Playing college football.
