INSPIRATION TO PARTICIPATE
For me, fighting isn't about hurting someone. Fighting is about challenging yourself and being prepared for hardships in life. When you've been fighting and you're tired, you can't just give up. You find the strength and the will to keep going - even when you think you can't anymore. Life is the same; you'll face challenges and let-downs, but you still need to find the will to keep on.
This event allows me to train in a new style and challenge myself in new ways, all while supporting a great cause.

HARDEST PART OF TRAINING
My knuckles still get sore pretty quickly, so the hardest part is pushing through that to keep hitting the bag and alternate with push-ups.

MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF TRAINING
The people are the most enjoyable part of the training. Everyone is always willing to answer questions and offer supportive advice or just chat about the sport.

PRECONCEPTIONS OF BOXING THAT HAVE BEEN CHANGED
While training I've realized that hitting hard isn't the goal. If you can't land a shot, you won't be competitive. Being agile, controlled, and quick to respond is equally or more important than raw power.

GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
2015: 3rd in my division in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the IBJJF Championship.
