INSPIRATION TO PARTICIPATE
I work with kids in an under-served community, so it makes sense that I want to go beyond the classroom to fight for all our children. With that in mind, I am constantly pushing my students to fight harder, faster, and to never give up. Always learn, and take advantage of all life offers. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't follow my own advice. Thus, a new challenge arose: boxing. Plus, it gives me street cred and some days, teaching can be stressful enough to make me need to punch things :)

HARDEST PART OF TRAINING
Getting back in the ring after a blow to the ribcage.

MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF TRAINING
The people. My team is awesome, and both our trainers, Eddie and Kim, go above and beyond to make us a better version than our best.

PRECONCEPTIONS OF BOXING THAT HAVE BEEN CHANGED
I honestly didn't think it was going to be that much cardio, but I've learned that cardio is everything in boxing. It doesn't matter how strong you are, but rather who's still standing at the end.

GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
Philadelphia Marathon
