INSPIRATION TO PARTICIPATE
I moved to Boston area roughly a year and half  ago and have been looking for ways to get involved with the community.  I was fortunate enough to meet Eoin and Niall on my Softball team, where they introduced this event and sold me to participate in the event.  For me, the event served as a win/win.  I could not only use the event event as a catalyst for  my new years resolutions but also as a way to participate in something to raise money for a great cause.

HARDEST PART OF TRAINING
Every aspect of the training regimen.  Not only does each training session take the body to complete exhaustion, but it the way in which you have to mentally prepare for sparring sessions is by far on of the toughest things I ever had to endure.

MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF TRAINING
Feeling the progress and progression after weeks of hard work.  The first couple weeks were tough.  I had no idea if i would be able to get myself into position where I could compete at a high level.  Looking back on the the accomplishments I have made in two months, the strives I have made are is by far the most enjoyable part of the experience.

FAVORITE BOXER
James J. Braddock

PRECONCEPTIONS OF BOXING THAT HAVE BEEN CHANGED
I always knew that boxing was a physically exhausting sport, I just extremely underestimated how exhausting one round can be.  When watching professional boxing, i have a greater appreciation for boxers than are into the 10th and later rounds, that are still throwing punches and moving like the first round.

GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
Winning three NEC championships as a Scholarship football player at the University at Albany.
